About
From time to time our commercial clients become embroiled in difficulties and disputes relating to their business affairs. Disputes are often an unavoidable element of doing business. To those clients we offer strategic and practical advice for early and effective resolution of these disputes by way of mediation and negotiation. Where appropriate we vigorously pursue and defend our client’s legal and commercial rights in the courts.
In some cases the courts are not the appropriate forum for the resolution of business disputes, as clients may want to continue their business relationship once the dispute is resolved. For those clients mediation can be an effective means of dispute resolution. The newly constituted Commercial Court presents a forum where proceedings can be fast tracked so that commercial objectives are not lost while legal issues are being pursued.
Experienced lawyers in our Commercial Litigation Department led by partner Theresa O’Donoghue represent our clients at every level in the Irish courts and in mediation and arbitration. Their expertise enables us to provide a speedy and effective solution for our clients in all commercial disputes.
